Lubbock Lake Landmark
Kippra Hopper retired from teaching magazine writing, photography, and journalism classes at Texas Tech in 2013. Since then, she has worked part-time for 11 years as an operations assistant at the Lubbock Lake Landmark. The Landmark is an active archaeological site and a nature preserve of 336 acres. As a journalist, she has observed the archaeology and the preservation of the land and loves to tell the story of the Lubbock Lake Landmark.
