The 2022 Historic Waxahachie Inc. Christmas Tour of Homes was indeed the holiday event of the season! Visitors immersed themselves in the historic holiday tradition, and celebrated the spirit of the season as seen through the lens of four beautiful Waxahachie historic homes. In 2022, in addition to the homes, HWI was thrilled to feature the much loved Ferris Elementary School on the tour, built in 1911 and a fixture of Waxahachie heritage for generations. There visitors got a special tour of this incredible historic building filled with history and memories.
Decorated with unique holiday styles and traditions, visitors got tours of a variety of different architectural styles from petite to grand, and learned about what it’s like to live, work, and play in these historic places.
Once again the tour guide book, which served as the exclusive ticket to this event, was a special collectors edition which gave attendees a list of all the home addresses, information on the stops on the tour, and a community map for their convenience. Each year, the collectors guide book features custom watercolor art of a Waxahachie home from the previous year’s tour.
A festive and fun experience was had by the whole family!

The Historic Waxahachie Christmas Tour of Homes is a major fundraiser for Historic Waxahachie, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) that provides scholarship, support, and advocacy in our local community. Ticket sales from this event go towards these purposes; no refunds of tickets are available. Unused tickets will be considered a donation to Historic Waxahachie, Inc.
